Day 2

Paris, France...even the name is beautiful. We landed and after securing our luggage, we were met by our delegation manager, Karina. We were all very excited to finally be in Paris. Karina was excited too, probably not as much as we were, but she was excited for us to be here.

We boarded our bus and had our first introduction to our wonderful Italian bus driver, Claudio. He spoke enough English that we could communicate...we certainly couldn't speak Italian! The first stop was lunch in the area of the Eiffel Tower. We could see it long before we arrived. Lunch was on a riverboat on the Seine River. From there, we walked to the tower. It's huge...889 feet tall. We took lots of photos, oohed and ahhed at the tower, marveled at the fact that we were actually here...and then took an elevator all the way to the top.

The view from the top is spectacular! Paris is truly a beautiful city!

Now remember most of us didn't sleep much on the plane ride over... from the Eiffel Tower, we boarded a boat to take a cruise on the Seine River. Picture 45 excited but tired delegates, and 4 excited but tired leaders on a nice, slow, calm, cool boat ride. Unfortunately, some of our group didn't get to see all the beautiful bridges that cross the Seine.
For those who were able to stay awake, the bridges were gorgeous, each one unique. We were also able to see the Louve and Notre Dame from the water.

We all slept well at the end of Day 2!
