What a Reunion!

On Sunday, September 10th, we had our reunion meeting in Petaluma. Joey, Shaylin's mom set it all up, although she said that actually her husband, Barrett, did the work. I thank both of them...it was wonderful!

We all started arriving at 3 p.m. Kodiak Jacks was closed and only open for our reunion. In the beginning, most people just caught up on what had been going on and hung out with each other. Pool tables were available, but those didn't get a lot of use until after dinner. There was also the bull, but it wasn't turned on. Kyle and Michelle tried to make it work.

We had a fair number of parents who joined our reunion. For many of them, they could finally put a face to some of the names they had been hearing about. Here's some of our parents who came.

We had a great dinner of two different pastas, salad, and bread. Plus, at the top of this post you can see the cake made for us. Besides the cake, there were some delicious chocolate chip cookies! After most everyone had eaten, the pool tables became more active! I'm not sure if we had a champion pool player, but it looked like everyone was definitely having a good time.

So we had a fun conclusion to an incredible summer. There was talk of getting the group together on a regular basis...bi-annual reunions? That would be fun! There was talk of going to Australia this next summer with People to People...that would be awesome! I know many of the delegates probably developed some friends that will be lifelong. This experience, hopefully, enriched everyone's life. It did mine.

Here are some more photos I took that night...

Hopefully tomorrow the post on the reunion meeting will be posted. I know I told some of you it would be here in a couple of days. Check back soon!

We sure missed all of you who weren't able to make it. Maybe we'll have another reunion sometime...in the meantime...THINK AUSTRALIA. The Information meeting will be September 28th - Thursday - at 7:30 p.m. at Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa.
